Overview
Glasgow City Council is leading on two labour market focused projects in order to help address local employment challenges. The projects are as follows:
Projects
City Deal Glasgow are currently working on:
- In Work Progression - A pilot labour market progression programme in the Care sector to support the training and development of staff in low income jobs, boosting wages and reducing reliance on in-work benefits. The In Work Progression project is a Glasgow City Council pilot to the value of £600k.
- Working Matters - A new employment scheme for individuals who are on health related benefits will work with 4,000 people, assisting at least 600 into sustained work. Working Matters is a regional project to the value of £9m.
