From administering medication to using specialist equipment, our highly trained home carers deliver a vital service which enhances the quality of service users' lives.

Glasgow home care service is delivered 365 days a year, there are a range of shift patterns available including 7 days on and 7 days off and weekend work.

Below are examples of some of the shifts which we can offer.

*Non-core pay is an additional payment due to Working context and demands and non-standard working pattern/hours. Payments are made in accordance with pay frequency.

We have a particular requirement for home carers in Glasgow North West and South, but we try where we can to place home carers in the area in which they live.

No previous experience or qualifications are necessary and all training will be provided by our in-house training team to give you the required skills and confidence to enable you to begin your career as a home carer.

What happens next?

After you register your interest you will be sent a link by email to complete a value based assessment - this is to give us a better idea about you as a person and your suitability to work in a care environment. Please check your junk mail in case it gets filtered out.

Following completion of the assessment you will receive an automated email to confirm your responses have been received by our team. You will be notified by email whether you will be invited to complete the next stage, which involves the completion of an application form.

Providing you are successful you will then be contacted to attend a recruitment event where you will receive information about the jobs available, the training and the service.

You will also be interviewed and asked to complete Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) membership scheme paperwork - this will allow us to check for any criminal offences, these must be disclosed in advance.

What happens if I cannot email my application?

If you require assistance completing the online application or are unable to email your completed form then Glasgow Life have a team of Digi-Pal volunteers in place to help.

The team are unable to assist with the content of your application but are there help navigate the form on either a computer available within your local library or your own device if you take it along.
