GLASGOW CITY COUNCIL - NOTICE OF ELECTION
ELECTION OF A COUNCILLOR

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT:

1.  A By-Election is to be held for the return of a COUNCILLOR for the following:

Ward 20 - Baillieston of Glasgow City Council
Ward 23 - Partick East/Kelvindale of Glasgow City Council

2.  Nomination papers are available from the Election Office, 40 John Street, Glasgow G1 1JL. The office is open for the issue and delivery of nomination papers on weekdays from 10am to 4pm. (Due to Coronavirus restrictions please call 0141 287 5684 to arrange an appointment)

3.  Completed nomination papers must be delivered to the Election Office, 40 John Street, Glasgow G1 1JL on any day after the date of this notice but not later that 4pm on MONDAY 15th FEBRUARY 2021.

4.  If the By-Election is contested the poll will take place on THURSDAY, 18th MARCH 2021 between 7am and 10pm.

5.  New applications to vote by post and requests to cancel or change and existing postal or proxy vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Glasgow City Council, PO BOX 15311, Glasgow G4 7DL by 5pm on WEDNESDAY, 3rd MARCH 2021, if they are to be effective for this election.

6.  New applications to vote by proxy except on the grounds of a medical emergency must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Glasgow City Council, PO BOX 15311, Glasgow G4 7DL by 5pm on WEDNESDAY, 10th MARCH 2021, if they are to be effective for this election.

7.  Applications to vote by proxy on the grounds of a medical emergency, or for work/service reasons or, if following Scottish Government advice or the advice of a registered medical practitioner in relation to Coronavirus, a voter is prevented from attending the polling station, must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Glasgow City Council, PO BOX 15311, Glasgow G4 7DL by 5pm on THURSDAY, 18th MARCH 2021, if they are to be effective at this election.
