12Notice of Motion by Councillor John Mason

"Council regrets the recent postponement of the visit to Scotland of the Irish Taoiseach. The City of Glasgow faces many problems and challenges and we are seeking to tackle these. We are attempting to make progress in combating poverty, racism, violence against women, and other social exclusion issues. However, we realise that sectarianism continues to be a major problem facing Glasgow and the West of Scotland.

Council, therefore, instructs the Chief Executive to bring a report to an early meeting of the Policy and Resources Committee identifying the Council's current policy and considering how that policy might be developed in the future."
