8Question from Councillor Niall Walker -

"Will the Council improve the supervision and support for homeless persons place in bed and breakfast in Glasgow?"
9Notice of Motion by Councillor Steven Purcell:-

"Council believes that Glasgow is a great sporting city which would be an ideal location for the headquarters of sportscotland.

Relocating sportscotland's headquarters to the new National Indoor Arena would offer a major boost to Glasgow and Scotland's bid to host the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Furthermore, this would help speed up the regeneration of the East End of the city.

Council is concerned to note recent media reports of delays in a decision on the future location of sportscotland. It believes that a decision taken in the near future can bring real benefits to Glasgow and beyond, and calls on the Scottish Executive to make a decision on this issue as soon as possible."
