Report a problem with a public recycling site

What are they?

We currently provide a network of over 700 communal sites across the city where materials can be deposited for recycling.

These are larger styled wheeled bins that can accept the same materials that are accepted within the domestic blue recycling bins and the domestic purple glass bins.

Blue - Newspapers / Magazines / Plastic Bottles and Mixed cans

Purple - Mixed glass bottles and Jars

When using the public sites please do not leave material outside the bins.

Noise Issue - If using the glass bins please be considerate of the local neighbours when depositing bottles early am or late evening.

Textiles

In addition banks for the collection of textiles are provided and serviced in conjunction with our textile recycling partners are also located across the city.

Textile banks are also located at some of these locations.  All textile banks are owned and operated by our textile recycling partners.
