Charging for on-street parking bays will begin again throughout Glasgow from July 9.
The service was suspended in March this year in response to the COVID-19 lockdown as a way to support key workers during the on-going public health emergency.
The reintroduction of parking controls will help to manage the increasing demand for parking spaces in the city centre, town centres and neighbourhoods across Glasgow, while promoting road safety for all road users.
Enforcement action is already underway in relation to dangerous or obstructive parking and also against those occupying bays disabled drivers and loading.
As part of the return of parking controls, any permit holder with a permit due to expire between 24 March, 2020 and 23 March, 2021 will be granted a three month extension to their permit to cover the suspension of the parking service during the emergency period.
Anyone wishing to apply for a new permit at this time can email their application address to firstname.lastname@example.org
