What is it?

Glasgow Home Energy (G-Heat) has been established to provide independent advice on energy related issues to householders in the city on a face to face basis, in their homes, and assist in Glasgow City Council's strategic aim of eliminating Fuel Poverty.

Our Aim

The provision of independent advice on energy related issues to householders in their homes, is one way in which Fuel Poverty can be mitigated or reduced. Our aim is to deliver this service to householders in the city regardless of whether they are tenants or owner occupiers.

The service will have a particular emphasis on assisting those who may be in Fuel Poverty and are having difficulty in keeping their home warm at an affordable cost. It can provide advice on the use of energy in the home, assist householders who are having difficulty with their fuel bills, and ensure that they are able to access the best tariffs available.

Our Partners

G-HEAT has been developed through a Partnership arrangement between Glasgow City Council, the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations, the Glasgow and West of Scotland Forum of Housing Associations, the Glasgow Advice and Information Network (GAIN) and the Wise Group, who are responsible for delivering the service.

Our objective is to both help householders reduce their fuel bills make sure that the bills they receive are accurate and to help them make more effective use of money they spend on domestic energy.
