Energy Saving Trust

The Energy Saving Trust is one of the UK's leading organisations addressing the damaging effects of climate change. It aims to achieve sustainable and efficient use of energy and a reduction in carbon dioxide emissions, a key contributor to global warming.

The trust is a non-profit organisation funded by government and the private sector.

Boiler Efficiency

The Boilers Efficiency database is produced by the Building Research Establishment, the Government's principal organisation for research in the construction industry. It lists all major central heating boilers on sale in the UK and indicates their relative efficiency. It is updated regularly.

Ofgem

Ofgem is the regulator for Britain's gas and electricity industries. Its role is to protect and advance the interests of consumers by promoting competition where possible, and through regulation where necessary.

Carbon Trust

The Carbon Trust is an independent not for profit company set up by the Government, with support from business, to take the lead on low carbon technology and innovation in this country. Its focus is on innovation and the reduction of energy consumption by businesses.
