Supporting Improvement in our schools and nurseries

Published Wednesday 7th December 2016

Last month more than 300 delegates took part in the council's education supporting improvement conference and looking at innovative ways to raise attainment and achievement across the city's schools and nurseries.

Partners, third sector organisations, stakeholders and other local authority education colleagues also took part in the aptly named excellence and equity day-long conference at Celtic Park.

Bailie Liz Cameron, Executive Member for Children, Young people & Lifelong Learning said: "The conference was a resounding success with lots of ideas and good practice discussed and shared throughout the day's discussions and workshops."

A specially produced video covering all aspects and the aims of the conference has been released for use in our schools, for teachers, parents and carers too in order that they can use the innovation and good practice that is being delivered and celebrated in Glasgow schools.
