NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT:

1. A By-Election is to be held for the return of a COUNCILLOR for the following: Ward 4 - Cardonald of Glasgow City Council
    
2. Nomination papers are available from the Election Office, 40 John Street, Glasgow G1 1JL. The office is open for the issue and delivery of nomination papers on weekdays from 10am to 4pm.
    
3. Completed nomination papers must be delivered to the Election Office, 40 John Street, Glasgow G1 1JL on any day after the date of this notice but not later that 4pm on FRIDAY 4th AUGUST 2017.
    
4. If the By-Election is contested the poll will take place on THURSDAY, 7th SEPTEMBER 2017 between 7am and 10pm.
    
5. New applications to vote by post and requests to cancel or change and existing postal or proxy vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Glasgow City Council, PO BOX 15311, Glasgow G4 7DL by 5pm on WEDNESDAY, 23rd AUGUST 2017, if they are to be effective for this election.
    
6. New applications to vote by proxy except on the grounds of a medical emergency must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Glasgow City Council, PO BOX 15311, Glasgow G4 7DL by 5pm on WEDNESDAY, 30th AUGUST 2017, if they are to be effective for this election.
    
7. Applications to vote by proxy on the grounds of a medical emergency much reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Glasgow City Council, PO BOX 15311, Glasgow G4 7DL by 5pm on THURSDAY, 7th SEPTEMBER 2017, if they are to be effective at this election.
