Biography

First elected in May 2016, Angus represents Glasgow City Centre and the nearby Anderston, Finnieston and Yorkhill areas as one of four councillors for the Anderston/City/Yorkhill ward.

Angus currently chairs the council's Environment, Sustainability and Carbon Reduction committee and is committed to creating a greener, more sustainable city. Additionally, he holds a number of remits relating to economic development and inclusive economic growth, and serves as the council's Digital Champion and Chair of the Digital Glasgow Board. He also chairs the council's arms-length employability charity, Jobs and Business Glasgow, and the council's arms-length commercial property company, City Property.

Angus is passionate about equalities, supporting local communities and promoting a vibrant, inclusive Glasgow.
