The postal route for submitting identity evidence is open for applicants who are unable to use the EU Exit: ID Document Check app to verify their identity.

If you're a European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) or Swiss citizen, you and your family can apply to get either settled or pre-settled status. This will mean you can continue living in the UK after 31 December 2020.
You have until 30 June 2021 to apply.

You need a compatible Android phone or tablet to scan your identity document.
If your device doesn't have near field communication (NFC) you can make an appointment to bring your ID document to us, where it can be scanned and verified. You can then apply for pre-settled or settled status.
It is important to note that you should not start your application before you attend your appointment.
