Clyde Place to close to traffic from 1 October

Clyde Place to close to traffic from 1 October

Works are ongoing within Tradeston, between West Street to Bridge Street, as part of the Buchanan Wharf development.

The Traffic Regulation Order that will permanently come into effect on 1 October 2019 will modify the direction of travel on Kingston Street, to become eastbound only, and West Street/Clyde Place will be stopped up, between Riverview Gardens and Commerce Street. Leading up to the implementation of the new Order, isolated works will continue on the public roads in the vicinity.

Prior to the implementation of the new Order, from 20 September 2019, Kingston Street will be closed to allow for the installation of new traffic signals, resurfacing and lining works. It is anticipated that these works will be completed on 26 September 2019. Between this date and the 1 October 2019, a Temporary Order will be utilised to allow for the directional changes on Kingston Street and the stopping up of Clyde Place to be implemented.
