Forthcoming By-Elections - Ward 20 Baillieston and Ward 23 Partick East/Kelvindale

Important Information about Glasgow By-Elections

Many of you will have received your polling card for the Glasgow By-elections taking place on 18 March for Ward 20 Baillieston and Ward 23 Partick East/Kelvindale.

A clerical error meant some of these polling cards contain the wrong information about where to vote. The by-election will not be using some primary schools as polling places, although primary schools will be used in the Scottish Parliament Election.

The correct information is as follows :

  • If you received a letter saying that you should vote in Caledonia, Garrowhill or St Bridget's primary schools then you should vote at Bannerman High.
  • If you received a letter saying you should vote at Kelvindale Primary you should vote at Cleveden Secondary.
  • If you received a letter saying you should vote at Hyndland Primary you should vote at Hyndland Secondary.

There are two By-Elections taking place in Glasgow on 18 March 2021 for the electoral Ward 20 Baillieston and Ward 23 Partick East/Kelvindale.

New legislation was introduced on 3 August 2020 which extended the voting franchise in Scotland. You can vote in this election if you are:
