Location: Olympia Building, 2-16 Orr Street, Bridgeton, Glasgow G40 2QH

Duration: Permanent

Role Profile/Grade: PES2/Grade 2

Core Pay: £18,599.91

Non-Core Pay: WCD - £619 (Level 1) per annum  

NSWP/H - £1,131, (Level B) per annum 

Contractual Overtime - 30 hours per 4-week period.(7.5 per week)

To be worked from 7am till 8.30am Monday to Friday.

Hours of Work: 37 hours + 7.5 hours contractual overtime per week

8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday & 8.30am to 4.30pm on Friday.

60 minutes unpaid meal break daily.

Work Schedule: 52 weeks

The position of Window Cleaning Area Supervisor will provide a full and comprehensive window cleaning service across Glasgow, City Wide, where you will report to the Area Operations Manager.

The main duties and responsibilities will include the supervision and training of staff. You will also be responsible for the completion of appropriate paperwork- record keeping, organising annual leave and planning weekly schedules of window cleaning tasks.

You will be responsible for the delivery of cleaning internal/external glass and surfaces in a safe and secure environment, with the use of equipment and chemicals, operating within the current Health & Safety Legislation. You must be able to work at heights, using a fall arrest system, full body harness, lanyards etc.

Your duties will also include the driving of a council vehicle to transport yourself, the team and any required materials from venue to venue as and when required. You will be responsible for the fueling and cleanliness of the vehicle. Responsibility for ensuring that health and safety is adhered to at all times when responsible for a work vehicle. Successful applicants will have to work flexibly and hold a current uk driving license and be prepared to travel city wide. 

You will be required to communicate with both staff and clients.

Any other duties appropriate to the post in line with the needs of the service. Co-operating with the introduction of new procedures and or new equipment/technology associated with the role
