Report Litter in a Public Place

Report bins in a Public Place

What is it?

Litter is waste items that have not been disposed of correctly, for example not put in a public bin.

Litter is unsightly and potentially dangerous. It creates unnecessary work for our teams who are responsible for litter clearance throughout the City.

We provide a 24 hour street cleansing and litter service, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

How do I report it?

You can report problems with litter bins in a public place using our website.

You can also use our MyGlasgow app. You can download our app from the App store and Google Play.

Is there a fine for dropping litter?

Yes. There is a £80 penalty for littering and we will issue fixed penalty notices to people who are caught.
