Assistance for blind or partially sighted voters
These by-elections are part of a trial to support people with sight loss to vote unaided. This pilot will provide a dedicated telephone line to read out the ballot paper for voters at by-elections.
Glasgow have volunteered to take part in this trial and pilot the telephone line at our forthcoming March by-elections in Ward 8 Southside Central and Ward 21 North-East.
The telephone line is now live - we hope that this will help some of our voters to engage in the democratic process unaided.
- The telephone number is 0141 846 7778.
