Can I make a Claim against Glasgow City Council?

You can make a claim against Glasgow City Council ("the council") for any damage the council may be liable for in respect of:

  • Vehicle Damage (this includes damage to your vehicle due to potholes)
  • Property Damage/Loss
  • Personal Injury

If you make a claim against the council, the outcome will be decided based on whether you can evidence that the council has acted negligently or has failed to carry out its statutory duties correctly.  This is known as 'legal liability'.
