East Govan/Ibrox TRA

Email (opens new window)

East Govan/Ibrox is geographically the largest of the eight TRAs (76 ha) bounded to the north by the River Clyde, to the east by Pacific Quay, to the south by the M8 Motorway and the west by Broomloan Road.

Regeneration

There has been considerable housing investment and new build homes in the immediate and surrounding area by Wheatley Group and other local RSL's including Govan HA and Elderpark HA, particularly to support re-housing of tenants being displaced from their homes as part of the wider regeneration of the area.

Within the TRA, a mixed tenure (social rent and mid-market rent) development of 152 units on Hinshelwood Drive and a 65 unit mid-market rent development at Ibroxholm Oval have also been completed.

Wheatley Group also retained and redeveloped one block of flats at Ibroxholm Oval to transform this into 98 homes for mid-market rent.

Further work is currently being undertaken by the TC:G partners to identify opportunities to address existing issues and to develop a delivery strategy for the vacant and derelict land within the central area of the TRA.

  • Surface Water Management Plan:  A solution for Surface Water Management Plan has been agreed with Scottish Water through a Pre-Development Enquiry (PDE) process, which is the first stage to unlock any future development on the Broomloan Road/Brighton Street Site.
