Young people in Glasgow need us more than ever- can you share an hour and help change a life?

By dedicating just one hour per week, you can join 160 Glasgow City Council employees by volunteering to mentor with MCR and positively impact the lives of our young people in Glasgow.

We are looking for volunteer mentors to work in partnership with MCR and support young people in our 30 secondary schools across Glasgow.

You don't need any special skills or prior experience with young people; all you need is commitment, empathy and determination to make a positive impact. As a mentor, your role will be to lend a compassionate ear to your young person for an hour a week during term time, empowering them to believe in themselves and their abilities.

MCR Pathways - Be the person you needed when you were younger
Mentoring not only has a life-changing impact on young people but also brings numerous benefits to mentors themselves. By giving just one hour per week, volunteers can gain a sense of fulfilment, personal growth, and the opportunity to develop valuable skills.

To find out more about your council colleagues experiences of mentoring visit our staff page to read their mentor stories or watch this short video from MCR about how mentoring can make a difference.

If you would like to find out more, you are invited to come along to a 30-minute information session hosted by MCR Pathways. You can click on the link below to register for the session that suits you:
