In allowing the installation and use of CCTV the licensing authority recognises that such systems can be used to prevent and detect crime, reduce the fear of crime and enhance the safety of taxi and private hire car drivers as well as their passengers.

This policy also seeks to ensure that the installation and operation of CCTV systems do not compromise the safety of either drivers or passengers or unreasonably interfere with the privacy of members of the public.

What do I have to do?

You must notify us of your intent to install CCTV.

How much will it cost?

Please refer to our Fees and Charges for details of the current fees and accepted payment methods.

The application will not be accepted without the correct fee. The fee is non-refundable.

How to make Payment

Payment should be made by BACS Transfer (electronic banking) to the Licensing Board Account. 

When making payments please quote CCTV/enter plate number of vehicle as detailed below:-

Reference: CCTV/enter Plate Number of vehicle

Please note that your notification will not be formally lodged until payment has been received.  The fees are non-refundable.
