Her Majesty The Queen 1926-2022
Statement from Lord Provost Jacqueline McLaren "It is my sad duty as Lord Lieutenant, to relay that Her Majesty the Queen has passed. A monarch who has served with pride, dignity, wisdom and grace for more than 70 years. The longest serving monarch in British history. A record breaking reign that oversaw and withstood many changes and challenges. Her Majesty was a figure of constancy and comfort to many. This is a dark day for her family and all those across the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth who hold her dear."
