Glaswegian First World War veterans in story and song
Flanders House was a care home for soldiers that opened in 1954, situated on Dorchester Avenue in the west end of Glasgow. It looked after ex-servicemen until 2006 when it was demolished and the Erskine Care Home built in its place.
The video below contains interviews that were recorded with First World War veterans there around 30 years ago.
These moving stories and songs let the soldiers tell the story of war in their own words.
