Thomas was born c1896, son of Mrs Mary Gallagher McKendrick, Dalmuir, Glasgow.

He enlisted in Clydeban, and was in France from 3rd May 1915.

Thomas was killed in action aged 19 at Second Battle of Ypres, Sunday 9th May 1915.
