Traveline Scotland's journey planner makes travel within Scotland easier and more efficient for you. It figures out the best routes and transport options by bus, train, ferry, or a combination of these.

Using the planner, you can choose:

• To travel by Bus, Coach, Train, Metro, Ferry, Air, or a combination.
• Routes which are "Fastest", "Direct" with "Minimum Changes".
• Your walking speed and maximum walk time
• Minimum transfer times between any changes
• To travel with specific public transport operators

The results will tell you:

• Departure and arrival time for each part of your journey
• Departure and arrival locations for each part of the journey
• Number of changes
• Intermediate stops for each part of the journey
• Walking instructions
• Tickets and fare options
• Alternative departure time options

Once planned, there is an option to share this on social media, by email, print or copy to another location.
