Drumchapel Local Development Framework
The City Development Plan proposes Local Development Frameworks (LDFs) to deliver planning change at a local level for areas of the city where it is recognised that an additional layer of planning intervention is required. Drumchapel is one of the three areas identified.
The LDF for Drumchapel identifies key issues and opportunities in the area and sets the vision and framework for future development, in line with the spatial policies of the City Development Plan.
The LDF includes:
- A long term Vision for the development of the area.
- A Spatial Strategy to deliver on this vision, which contains a series of Principles to inform initiatives, projects and the design of development proposals.
- An Action Programme to establish a sustained commitment to the area beyond the term of the current City Development Plan.
Status
The Council adopted the Drumchapel LDF as Supplementary Guidance to the City Development Plan on 11 September 2024.
The adopted version of the LDF can be accessed here: Drumchapel LDF.
