What Cards do you accept?

Glasgow City Council is able to accept payment from various credit/debit cards. We accept payments from the following cards:

  • Visa
  • Visa Electron
  • Visa Debit
  • MasterCard

 

Where is my 3 digit card security code?

Your 3 digit Security Code can be found on the reverse of your card:

How long does it take for payments to be received?

Payment requests are subject to authorisation and clearance timescales like other payment methods. It will therefore take up to 4 working days for your payment to be received.

 

Where can I find my Council Tax Customer Reference number?

Your Council Tax customer reference number will be contained on all Council Tax correspondence you receive from Glasgow City Council. On your Council Tax notice, the reference number can be found at the top right corner:

If you are making a payment for the current year you only need to quote this 9-digit number. If your payment is for an arrears year, please quote both the 9-digit number and the Bill Number shown below the Reference Number.

Where can I find my Invoice Reference Number?

Your Invoice Reference Number is located midway on the left hand side of the invoice:

What information do I need to provide to pay an invoice?

You are required to enter the reference number and amount as well as your card details.

 

Where can I make enquiries about my Invoice?

Payment enquiries can be made via the Treasury Section - SSCTreasury@glasgow.gov.uk. Any non-payment enquiries must be made to the relevant Department listed on the back of your Invoice, quoting your reference number.
