Submission Documents: By Bailie David McDonald:- "Council notes the proposed cuts to the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Strathclyde with concern. Council believes this would be a backward step for the University which has a proud reputation for delivering a wide ranging educational experience and would have a negative impact on the city including job losses. Council is concerned in particular about the cutting of Community Education and the impact this would have on the ability of the Council, partners and the voluntary sector to deliver key priority policies across the City. Council believes the University has a responsibility to its community and calls for the University to secure the future of all subjects."
