Council recognises this as acknowledgement and celebration of the community-driven and inclusive values of Glasgow Women's Library which has been painstakingly built from a grassroots project in 1991 into a unique national treasure with a lending library, museum, archive and learning programme celebrating women's histories and achievements. Council warmly congratulates all Glasgow Women's Library staff and volunteers past and present on this outstanding achievement.".
