Why is the Maryhill Hub Closing

The Maryhill Hub will close as part of the ongoing £100 million regeneration of Wyndford Estate.

What will happen to the Maryhill Hub During this time?

The Maryhill Hub will relocate to a temporary facility at:

The Maryhill Burgh Halls
34 Gairbraid Avenue
Glasgow
G20 8YE

What provision will be relocated?

The majority of service provision currently operating within the Maryhill Hub will transfer to the Maryhill Burgh Halls. This includes:

  • our digital learning centre, operated in partnership with Glasgow Kelvin College;
  • our Community Café;
  • lettable spaces; and
  • all current tenants and let holders, including North United Communities and Into University.

What about my Gym Membership?

While our new permanent facility will include a community gym, the temporary location at the Burgh Halls will not have one due to space limitations. To ensure our gym members can continue their fitness routine,we will be working in partnership with Glasgow Life and further information will be sent out to Maryhill Hub Gym Members.

Who will run the Maryhill Hub Provision at the Burgh Halls?

The current staff who operate the Maryhill Hub will continue to deliver provision based at the Maryhill Burgh Halls.

When will the Maryhill Hub close to the public?

The Maryhill Hub will close to the public on Friday 2 May 2025.

When will the temporary facility at the Maryhill Burgh Halls open?

It is anticipated that our temporary facility at the Maryhill Burgh Halls will open by Friday 30 May 2025. We will continue to update all our key stakeholders as soon as possible.

Will there be a new facility?

Glasgow City Council will to continue work with Wheatley Group on a new purpose-built community hub in the heart of the Wyndford estate. It is anticipated that this will take between 2 - 3 years to complete.
