Alarm Receiving Centre

The NRS Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) is a National Security Inspectorate (NSI) Gold Accredited CAT II ARC.  Having achieved Quality Assurance ISO 9001:2015, BS 5979:2007 and BS 8484:2011 Clause 6 certificates. It also holds membership of the BSIA (British Security Industry Association) for delivery of Security Systems and Alarm Receiving Centres.

All NRS ARC Monitoring Officers have been security screened to BS 7858:2012, covering a period of five years employment history, criminality and financial checks, and hold individual SIA (Security Industry Authority) licenses for CCTV monitoring.

During 2022-23, the ARC dealt with more than 6,000 alarm activations, dealt with around 70,000 calls, responded to 96% of intruder alarms within 90 seconds and 99% of fire alarms within 30 seconds.

NRS ARC operates a False Alarm Policy, filtering out false alarms and minimising the number of calls passed to the emergency services.
