Request Parking Enforcement in Your Area


Before submitting a request for parking enforcement, please read through the questions below to make sure you are reporting the parking problems through the correct channel.

Is the vehicle causing an obstruction where there are no parking restrictions?

We are unable to enforce locations where there are no parking restrictions in place. If a vehicle is causing an obstruction this can be reported to Police Scotland by phoning 101.

Does your parking concern relate to individuals working on the road or footway?

Any issues relating to people working on the road or footway can be reported to our Roadworks Control team.

Does the vehicle appear abandoned?

Report an abandoned vehicle.

Is the vehicle parked on the footway?

Is the vehicle double parked?

Is the vehicle parked at a dropped kerb crossing point?

Are vehicles being traded on the carriageway?

If vehicles are being traded on the carriageway then this should be reported to our Trading Standards team.

Does the vehicle appear to have overstayed the maximum stay limit permitted for that parking bay

Does the vehicle appear to have not paid for their parking?

Please remember that virtual parking permits are in operation and cashless parking is available so it is not always visible whether an individual has paid or not. If you know that the vehicle has not paid then please request parking enforcement in your area.

Has the vehicle parked in a Loading Only bay or bus stop?

Request parking enforcement in your area.

Has the vehicle parked on white zig zag markings at a pedestrian crossing?

If a vehicle is parked on white zig zag markings then this should be reported to Police Scotland by phoning 101.
