Consultation on Day Services for older people
Complete the Consultation on Day Services for Older People
Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is reviewing the range of day services it provides to support older people in their communities.
The Strategic Plan agreed by the Integration Joint Board of the Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) outlines a vision that:
"Communities will be empowered to support people to flourish and to live healthier, more fulfilled lives, by having access to the right support, in the right place and at the right time."
With that in mind, the range of opportunities available within the Day Centres for Older People which we operate is being reviewed to ensure that they continue to offer the right range of supports for older citizens of Glasgow.
We currently operate 10 Day Centres across the city, offering placements based on social work assessment. Each centre:
- can accommodate up to 30 people per day
- is open Monday to Friday (9.00am to 4.30pm).
Transport via mini buses can be provided for people who need assistance to get to and from the centre.
We need to know if the services on offer within the centres are right for older citizens . Feedback from this consultation will be used to assist in the planning of future services.
We are keen that as many people as possible comment on the range of services that they would like to see within the Day Centres that we currently operate. We welcome comments from members of the public, users of health and social care services, staff of Glasgow City Council and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, providers of health and social care services, the housing sector, and any other individual or group with an interest or experience of health and social care services.
The closing date for responses is Sunday 1 September 2024.
