Conservation Area Consent

Before you apply, please find out if your building is listed or in a conservation area.
Conservation Area Consent
Conservation area consent is only needed for total or substantial demolition of unlisted buildings and structures in conservation areas. If your proposal relates to the demolition of a listed building in conservation area, you should apply for listed building consent rather than conservation area consent.
You require planning permission for most extensions and alterations to houses within the conservation area.
Please Note:
- A 25% reduction is applicable to planning permission fee in conservation areas for development, which would otherwise be granted under permitted development rights.
