Equality Outcomes and Mainstreaming Report

Equality Outcomes

The Council has agreed fourteen Equality Outcomes. These outcomes are not meant to encompass all the work to reduce inequality in the City. Instead they reflect what are considered to be the priorities and form a framework on which the Council will build its equality agenda. Included within the report on the Equality Outcomes is a Statement of Intent that summarises the Council's broader commitment to equality.

Progress Towards Mainstreaming and Outcomes

As part of the statutory requirement to mainstream equality into planning, service delivery, and performance management, the Council is also required to publish a Mainstreaming Report on its progress towards meeting the General Equality Duty every two years beginning in 2013.
