The Redress Scheme

What is the Redress Scheme?

The Redress Scheme allows us to pay money to people who were subject to child abuse whilst in care as children before 1 December 2004, and some next of kin.

The Redress Scheme has replaced the Advanced Payment Scheme.  You can Apply for Scotland's Redress Scheme if you were abused as a child in care in Scotland before 1 December 2004 (age 17 years old or younger) and in a relevant care setting

You can find further information in relation the Redress scheme.
