Robert was one of two sons of Mr and Mrs Robert J.C. Fulton, Glen Helen, Westerton, Drumchapel and late of 9 Kirkwood Street,
Ibrox, Glasgow.
On leaving Bellahouston Academy in 1915, he entered the office of Messrs James Findlay & Co., Ltd., East India merchants, West Nile Street, Glasgow.
In June 1917 he enlisted in the Cameron Highlanders and was later transferred to the Black Watch. He embarked for France at the end of April 1918
On 28th July 1918 he was killed in the engagement of that date, north of the River Marne, France. Private Fulton, who was only 19 years of age, is buried at Chambrecy, France.
