Hunter, John Wilson 15317 (1882 - 1916)

John was the youngest son James B. Hunter, 38 Clarence Drive, Ibrox, Hyndland, Glasgow.

He was a partner in the firm of Messrs Clark & Hunter, Queen Street. He was a keen businessman, well-known and much respected in commercial circles. He took a great interest in YMCA work and in the Young Scots.

At the outbreak of war he joined the 17th Highland Light Infantry.

He was killed in action at the Somme, France, on 1st July 1916.
