Robert was born c1894 in Glasgow, son of Ellen Logan McKendrick, Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA and the late David McKendrick.

He enlisted in Glasgow, and was in France from 12th May 1915.

Robert was killed in action aged 21 on 25th September 1915.
