McKenzie, Samuel DM2/1661 (1882 - 1918)

Samuel was the son of Mr and Mrs R. McKenzie, 6 Brighton Place, Govan, Glasgow.

For fourteen years he was in the employment of Messrs Morrison & Mason, Ltd., contractors and for three years of this time was cashier in their office at Kendal. From 1912 he acted as cashier to Messrs Jackson & Anderson, contractors, Edinburgh.

He joined up in March 1916 and was shortly afterwards sent to Salonica, Greece.

On 2nd December 1918 he died of pneumonia at Dedeagatch, Bulgaria. Private McKenzie was 36 years of age.
