Cycling
Cycling offers you many benefits - it can help you:
- improve your fitness and wellbeing
- save money
- reduce traffic pollution and congestion.
As part of our staff travel plan, two cycling incentives are available to you:
Cycle to Work Scheme
The cycle to work salary sacrifice scheme is open all year round.
Full details of the scheme are available on Connect to help you understand what it can offer and what terms and conditions apply.
Cycle Training
If you want to get cycling, you can get access to expert cycle training whether you are a beginner or want to gain on road experience. Arranged through the Glasgow Bike Station, these can be timed to suit your work needs and location.
For more information please email sustainabletransport@glasgow.gov.uk to arrange.
Bicycle Users Group
The Bicycle Users Group (BUG) is an informally run group to raise awareness of requirements for cycling which can include storage, parking and surrounding facilities.
The BUG normally takes part in Bike Week as well as organising group rides. If you wish to organise a ride, have your name added to the BUG or want to know more about any subject on this page contact sustainabletransport@glasgow.gov.uk
