Lord Provost's statement following Rostov on Don aeroplane tragedy

Glasgow's Lord Provost Sadie Docherty said: "I will be writing to the Mayor of Rostov on Don, with my condolences following the dreadful aeroplane crash that claimed the lives of all 62 people on board.

"This horrific incident, in our twin city of 30 years, has been met with great sadness and shock. On behalf of the people of Glasgow, I send my heartfelt sympathy. My thoughts and prayers, and those of our citizens, go to those who have lost loved ones, emergency services personnel and everyone else affected."
