A book of condolences has been opened by Glasgow City Council in honour of Jo Cox MP.

The memorial ledger has been placed inside the City Chambers to allow people to pay their personal respects to the Labour MP for Batley and Spen who was killed in her constituency in West Yorkshire on Thursday.

The book was officially opened by Glasgow's Lord Provost Sadie Docherty who wrote:  "Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Parliament is a poorer place without you. A great and good woman."

The City Chambers is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.
