Information on Online Applications

On 1 April 2020, as a result of Covid 19, the Licensing Authority agreed to accept applications for the grant or renewal of a licence under the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 by electronic communications.

• Applications for Taxi or Private Hire Car Driver Licences can be submitted using the Online Form.
• Applications for Taxi or Private Hire Car Licence can be submitted using the Online Form.
• Applications for Late Hours Catering Licences can be submitted using the Online Form.
• Applications for Window Cleaner Employee Licences can be submitted using the Online Form.
• Applications for Skin Piercing and Tattooing can be submitted using the Online Form.

All other licence applications can be submitted by completing the PDF/Word document and submitting the completed form together with any supporting documentation to Licensing Enquiries.

The licence application fee must also be paid by BACS transfer for a licence application to be considered by the Licensing Authority. More information on the BACS transfer and applicable fee can be found in the guidance notes relating to the licence type.

The Licensing Authority is working on providing more online application forms for licences under the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982. This page will be monitored and updated accordingly.
