Postal Vote Update - 2 July 2024

Glasgow has issued almost 80,000 postal voting packs across six constituencies for the UK Parliamentary Elections.

Where a postal pack has not arrived, legislation allows us to start issuing replacements from a set date - in this case, Friday, 28 June.

Replacement Postal Ballots

If you need a replacement postal ballot, please call our election office on 0141 287 4444.

While you can still choose to have the replacement ballot mailed to you, we now strongly recommend that you collect it from the City Chambers.

You will be able to take the postal pack away with you, but our team can also make a private space available where you can fill in the ballot paper and postal vote paperwork and return them both, there and then.

This is a standard process that is used for replacement postal ballots at every election. It is not a polling station where in-person votes are cast early.

Our election office will be open from 9am to 5pm every day, including polling day. However, please call 0141 287 4444 before attending. If lines are busy, please wait five minutes and try again.

Returning Postal Votes

Postal votes can be returned in person, as well as by post. If an elector has any doubt that their vote will reach us on time, we encourage them to bring it to our election office or, on polling day, to their nearest polling place.
