Glasgow's City Development Plan was adopted in March 2017, replacing City Plan 2 (2009). The Plan sets out the Council's vision and strategy for land use whilst also providing the basis for assessing planning applications along with its associated Supplementary Guidance.
The Plan is supported by a number of documents including Background Papers, Environmental Report, Habitat Regulations Appraisal, and a Schedule of Land. These can all be found here.
The Adopted Plan can be viewed below:
The following associated documents can be viewed below:
Copies of the plan can be downloaded from the council's website and are available to view in the local libraries.
The Planning etc. (Scotland) Act 2006 requires Local Authorities to publish an annual Development Plan Scheme. The Development Plan Scheme sets out the programme for preparing and reviewing the City Development Plan.
This document is published to enable stakeholders to gain an awareness of the CDP preparation process and how and when they can engage with the process.
The Action Programme is a list of all the actions (proposals, policies etc) that are identified in the Plan. It details who has responsibility to carry out the actions and the timescale for the action.
Mapping has been prepared to illustrate the distribution of actions.
Details of the development plan process can be found below along with the various documents which have been produced throughout the preparation process.
