We are continuing to provide collection services for general waste and dry mixed recycling to our customers who are delivering essential services.
Trade waste sacks for general waste and dry mixed recycling
The Service Desk at 45 John Street is still temporarily closed and you are unable to collect trade waste sacks at this time. Trade waste sacks can now be purchased and delivered for essential services. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 0141 287 9797 during office hours. Sacks will be delivered within 3-5 working days where possible. Please quote your 6 digit customer number along with your business name, address and contact details.
We are currently reviewing the invoice process for all of our customers so that businesses that have temporarily closed will not be charged and adjusted invoices will be issued to those essential businesses that are still trading. This will not affect those who currently use trade waste sacks.

We operate the largest commercial waste collection and disposal operation in Glasgow. Our Recycling and Renewable Energy Centre uses a mix of mechanical and biological technology to extract valuable recyclables and generate renewable electricity from residual waste. The facility complements existing recycling initiatives and will help us reach our ambition of becoming one of the greenest Cities in Europe.
We collect the following waste types:
Our wheeled bins and containers come in a range of sizes from 240 litres to 1280 litres capacity. The 660, 1100 and 1280 litre bins are manufactured from pressed steel and sizes upwards of 500 litres have lockable lids that ensure the security of the waste and minimises spillage.

Bins should be stored inside your premises and presented at the kerbside on your allocated collection day.
To avoid enforcement action, bins lids must be closed.
Bins may not be uplifted if they are contaminated with other waste types.
Where space is limited, trade waste sacks can fulfil business requirements.
We can provide you with trade sacks for general waste and dry mixed recycling (DMR).
Should you wish to order trade sacks you should contact the Customer Care Centre. Sacks ordered in this way are delivered to your business premises for a small charge.

Existing customers should email email@example.com or phone 0141 287 9797 and quote their 6 digit customer number along with your business name, address and contact details.
Sacks should be presented outside your premises at your allocated day and time. Sacks must not be left out before or after these times. They should be taken back inside and returned outside on your next allocated day and time.
In the event of sacks not being collected, customers should take their sacks back inside and report a missed commercial waste collection by completing our online form or contacting the Customer Care Centre on 0141 287 9700.
In accordance with the Duty of Care Regulations contained within the Environmental Protection Act 1990 all waste customers are required to complete a new duty of care transfer note each year.
The charge for this document will be discussed with you and noted on your first statement.
We can also dispose of larger items that are not suitable for the normal disposal system e.g. old furniture and office equipment.

We provide a range of skips for commercial businesses.

It is your responsibility to ensure you obtain any necessary skip permits prior to hiring.
We operate a Materials Reclamation Facility (MRF) for dry mixed recyclable materials and would be happy to discuss utilisation of this with large commercial organisations or public sector bodies.

The law on waste has changed. From 1 January 2014, all businesses, public sector and not-for-profit organisations are required to present metal, plastic, glass, paper and card (including cardboard) for separate collection.
