Stables which hire out horses or ponies for riding or instruction must be licensed under the Riding Establishments Acts 1964 and 1970.
A report is also required from a veterinary surgeon or practitioner.
How do I apply?
To apply for a licence, please complete the Application Form and return with the appropriate fee to the Licensing Section.

We recommend that you send the application by Recorded Delivery/Special Delivery to ensure that it is received.
How much will it cost?
Please refer to our Fees and Charges for details of the current fees and accepted payment methods.
How to make payment?
Payment should be made by BACS Transfer (electronic banking) to the Licensing Board Account.
When making payments please quote your licence reference number if you are a current licence holder or quote RIDING/Address of Premises if you are a new licence holder as detailed below

Please note that your application will not be formally lodged until payment has been received. The fees are non-refundable.
