George V Bridge

Glasgow has very ambitious goals towards a resilient and sustainable future. George V Bridge Active Travel Improvements is being delivered in collaboration with the avenue's programme of ambitious improvements for improving access and routes for walking, wheeling and cycling across the city. The Council, funded by Transport Scotland have been working together to improve the Junction in the project area, further enhance the character of the area and put people rather than motor vehicles at its heart.

Project Aims

• Improve the street environment.
• Make the area safer.
• Prioritise people over vehicles.
• Improve sustainable transport connectivity across the project area and to the City Centre.
